Welcome to the second issue of Stack Sats. This is a weekly letter highlighting Bitcoin and Lightning Network developments, as well as new tools you can use to start stacking sats.
Lightning Network Metrics
Public Capacity: 4,788 BTC (+88 BTC)

- Satsoverflow launched a platform that helps anyone stack sats for answering other people’s questions
- Bitcoin Fax launched a platform for sending faxes anywhere in the world using Lightning payments and no sign-up process
- LN Capital released a first issue of their Lightning Report, highlighting a handful of metrics for routing node operators
- Stacker News released an update to their rewards system as a stepping stone to offering trophies for the top posts, comments, and upvoters on a given day
Lightning Raise Announcements
- Neutronpay raised $2.25M to disrupt legacy payment systems using the Lightning Network in Vietnam & Southeast Asia
Bitcoin Updates
- MicroStrategy filed a prospectus after market close last Friday to issue up to $500 million of stock. They mention Bitcoin as a possible use of proceeds.
- I expect we’ll hear updates from MicroStrategy in the coming weeks that they’ve issued the full $500 million, and that they’ve made another Bitcoin purchase.
- At current prices, they could pick up another 25,500 BTC. That would raise their total holdings to 155,208 BTC, roughly 0.75% of all Bitcoin in existence.
